Sustainability
What is your outer packaging made from?
Our outer cartons are made up of two types of paper: Cairn Eco Kraft – made entirely from recycled materials and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and a 100% Virgin ECF Fibre – paper made from newly grown wood fibres that have been dyed using Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) methods (a process which doesn’t use pure chlorine to bleach the pulp, significantly reducing the environmental impact).
What is your product packaging made from?
A combination of glass, polythene resin and polypropylene.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes, all our product packaging is widely recyclable, meaning it can often be added to your kerbside recycling. Please check with your local authority for details, as this will vary geographically.
Can I buy refills?
Yes, you can currently buy refills for our Revitalising Cream and our Universal Serum. The life cycle analysis (LCA) of these products proves this is a more sustainable way to shop, saving over 50% on CO2, energy and water usage. Our refillable products are also ideal for travel, as they are lightweight and portable – reducing the need for harder-to-recycle beauty minis.
Are your ingredients sustainably sourced?
Yes, we work with communities in the Amazon to ethically and sustainably source all our raw materials.
Giving back
How much money do you donate?
We donate 2.5% of our monthly sales towards supporting communities of the Amazon.
